Welcome to Jennie & Co Pet Care
Hi, I’m Jennie.
I’m completely obsessed with animals, especially dogs. There is nothing quite like seeing a dog enjoying being a dog – exploring, sniffing, learning, playing and experiencing the world at their own pace. Helping dogs feel safe, happy and fulfilled is what I love most, and it’s the reason Jennie & Co Pet Care exists.
For me, dog walking is about so much more than exercise. Every walk is tailored to the individual dog, giving them the opportunity to explore, build confidence, have fun and simply enjoy being a dog.
After a successful career in senior leadership, I followed my heart into animal welfare, spending four years working in rescue and rehabilitation. Those experiences shaped the welfare-led approach that sits at the heart of everything I do.
I offer a number of services for example dog walking, flexible cat care visits and I’m also a qualified Animal Reiki Practitioner. Although I first trained in Reiki for people, my passion has become supporting animals. I believe every pet deserves care that nurtures both their physical and emotional wellbeing, helping them live happier, calmer and more fulfilled lives.
Whether we’re out on an adventure, visiting at home or enjoying a calming Reiki session, your pet will always be treated as if they were one of my own.

Keeping Dogs Safe in Hot Weather
Your dog’s welfare will always come first.
During warmer weather, walks are carefully planned around the temperature and your dog’s individual needs. If it’s too hot, walks may be shortened, moved to cooler parts of the day, or replaced with enrichment and home visits where needed.
Throughout every walk, dogs have regular breaks, access to fresh drinking water, and another drink at the end of their walk. I also carry a Mud Daddy filled with cool water, perfect for cooling paws and helping dogs stay comfortable after an adventure.
With my background in animal rescue and rehabilitation, I know how quickly dogs can be affected by heat. That’s why every decision I make is based on what’s safest for your dog.
Sometimes, the best thing for your dog isn’t a walk at all. Enrichment activities, gentle training, scent work and mental stimulation can be just as rewarding, helping to keep your dog happy, engaged and fulfilled while staying safe in the heat.
Animal Reiki
Canine Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive complementary therapy that supports your dog’s emotional and physical wellbeing. Every session is led entirely by your dog, allowing them to relax at their own pace in a calm, safe environment.
As a qualified Reiki practitioner, having completed Reiki Levels 1 and 2 alongside an animal-specific Reiki qualification, I have a particular passion for working with dogs and horses, helping them feel calm, comfortable and supported.
Reiki may benefit any animal experiencing anxiety, stress, recovering from illness or surgery, living with long-term conditions, adjusting to change, or simply needing a little extra relaxation. I have a special interest in supporting senior dogs, rescue dogs and those with ongoing health conditions.
While Reiki is not a replacement for veterinary treatment, it can work beautifully alongside conventional veterinary care as part of a holistic approach to your dog’s wellbeing.
Every session is tailored to your dog’s individual needs, with their welfare, comfort and choice at the heart of everything I do.

"Our 6 month old puppy had an amazing time in his daily walks with Jennie while we were on holiday. We had regular pics and videos to show his progress and confidence when meeting new dogs. Ziggy had a ball and we came home to a more confident pup! I would recommend Jennie 100%"
